On Friday, February 4th, Matt de la Peña visited MRHS. Matt is the author of a number of books including Ball Don’t Lie and Mexican Whiteboy. de la Peña spoke to approximately 400 students throughout the course of the day and twenty lucky students had the opportunity to join Matt for lunch. Students asked him questions about his books, his life and his writing inspirations. Students really enjoyed Matt’s easy going style, and all of his books were checked out by the end of the day!
