Dear PC Manchester Regional High School Students, Faculty, Parents, and School Community,
Today, I am honored to begin my work as your superintendent. I am thankful to the Manchester Regional High School Board of Education and the district leaders for welcoming me. I look forward to meeting and working with each of you. We have many years of important work ahead of us. I can’t think of any venture more essential than molding today’s students who will become tomorrow’s productive citizens. Our work is to make our students ready—college ready, career ready, citizenship ready, family ready, community ready, and world ready. What an exciting challenge!
Since being appointed as your superintendent, I have been visiting the district. I am appreciative of the time the previous Superintendent, Dr. Miguel Hernandez, the Acting Superintendent, John Serapiglia, the building Principal, John Coviello, and many district employees have given to assist in my transition.
In the coming weeks I will communicate an entry plan that outlines my desire to “hit the ground learning” in order to get to know the district. During this organized entry, I will meet with members of the Board of Education, students, faculty, building administrators, parents, and community members. It is my sincere hope that this process will help establish a sense of direction, build relationships within the school community, and generate a feeling of trust as we begin our work together.
I understand I am entering the district when there are many immediate questions and concerns regarding health and safety. COVID has changed all of our lives and the way we do things at home and at school. I assure you I will work closely with our school district, community leaders, and health officials to ensure that all decisions are made with the best interest of our students and school community in mind.
I look forward to serving as your superintendent. Please do not hesitate to reach out and introduce yourself. You may reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org
or by calling (973) 389-2841.
