Athletic Director's Office

The Manchester Regional High School Athletic Department believes a dynamic program of student activities is vital to the educational development of our students.

Athletics play an important role  in the education of a Manchester Regional High School Student.  Our student athletes learn a great deal from participation in interscholastic athletics.  Lessons of competition, sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership, are integral parts of our athletic program.
02Manchester Regional High School is a member of the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC) - Colonial Division.  Other members of the Division are Eastern Christian HS, Elmwood Park HS, Glen Rock HS, Garfield HS, Hawthorne HS, Lodi HS, Mary Help of Christians Academy, Pompton Lakes HS, and Rutherford High School. Information on our conference can be found at www.njicathletics.org

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SPORTS PHYSICALS

Please note that there are new procedures for the collection and approval of sports physicals.  In order to be medically eligible to try-out for a sport, your child must obtain the sport packet and have it completed and returned to the school nurse prior to the start of the season so that the physical can be approved by the school physician.  You may obtain the physical from your private doctor or make an appointment with the school nurse to have it done by the school doctor.  The school doctor will be here on the following dates through September 2016:  (More dates will be added in September)

February 5, 19

March 4

April 1, 15, 19

May 13, 27

June 10

July 22

August 12

September 9

Physicals will be collected until the following dates for each season.  After the deadline physicals WILL NOT be accepted and the athlete will not be cleared to participate in a sport for that season.

You may obtain the physical packet using the links in the Health office or Athletics section.  Health history updates are required for students that had a physical within last 364 days.  The form can be obtained from the Health Office. If you have any questions, please call the nurse at 973-389-2853.
