Board Member Bio - Jeffery Fischer

Jeffrey Fischer
A lifelong Haledon resident, Jeffrey P. Fischer has dedicated over 53 years of service to students as a member of both the Haledon Board of Education and the Manchester Regional High School Board of Education.
In addition to his work in education, Jeff coached youth baseball and roller hockey with the Haledon PAL, managed Tri-Boro traveling baseball teams, and served as a Scout Leader with Pack 20 and Troop 20 of Haledon. He also served three years on the Haledon Zoning Board of Adjustment, ten years on the combined Haledon Planning/Zoning Board and has been a Trustee of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church for more than 40 years.
An ardent supporter of the training programs offered by the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA), Jeff has earned designations as a Certified Board Member, Master Board Member, and Certified Board Leader. He is also proud to be part of the Manchester Board that has earned both Board Certification and the Carole E. Larson Master Board Certification, the highest recognition offered to a school board in New Jersey.
At the county and state levels, Jeff has served as President of both the Passaic County School Boards Association and the New Jersey School Boards Association, while also contributing to numerous committees of both organizations.
Jeff’s wife Ellen and their two children, Laura and Jeffrey Ben are proud MRHS alumni. Ellen also dedicated 20 years of service on both the Haledon and Manchester Boards of Education, including many years as MRHS President.
