Use of Facilities

The PC Manchester Regional High School is a member of the community at large. As such it believes in opening its doors and facilities to community groups, athletic teams and other members of the three towns its serve, as well as the larger community of New Jersey. The District has adopted a Use of Facility Policy to govern access to its buildings and grounds when school is not in session. To request a use of facility the attached two documents must be filled out (Use of Facility Form and a Hold Harmless Agreement).
 
Also users are expected to comply with the district's cleaning policy (below)
In addition proof of insurance must be submitted. The requirements of the insurance (listed also on the Use of Facilities form) are as follows:
 

. Certificate of Coinsurance in the amount of $1,000,000 combined single limit or its equivalent must be provided naming Manchester Regional High School as additional insured.

 

Failure to provide this information will result in your request for use of facilities being denied.

 

All forms should be submitted to the PC Manchester Regional Board of Education main office, attn: Lisa Ferrante. They can be emailed to her: lferrante@mrhs.net or mailed in (70 Church Street Haledon NJ 07508) or by fax (973-956-8805).

 

Please provide ample time for use of facility. Requests must first be checked against the school calendar. The requests must then be Board approved. Therefore it is recommended that requests be made at least one month prior to the requested use of facility.

 

Also please note that fees may be charged for any costs incurred by the PC Manchester Regional Board of Education, including overtime for custodians / utility costs / set-up costs / etc. The Board of Education will notify requester of these fees prior to approving the requested use of facilities.

 

The Board of Education may also require additional personnel be present for use of facility, whether it is Board staff (site managers, technology personnel, school security, traffic control) or outside personnel (police officers). The Board reserves the right to request such personnel for use of its facility. Such requests will be based on several factors, including anticipated attendance at events and the nature of the events themselves.

 

 

 

 

Non-profit organization, per Board policy, will not be charged fees for use of facility above the custodial / utility costs / personnel costs described above. Organizations that are for profit will be assessed a fee for use of the facilities. The cost for this usage is broken down below:
 
  • Custodial Costs – Per hourly overtime rate
  • Gymnasium: $350 for 4 hours of use
  • Cafeteria: $300 for 4 hours of use
  • Athletic Field: $350 for4 hours of use
  • Auditorium: $700 for 4 hours of use
  • Classroom: $50 for 4 hours of use
  • Media Center: $60 for 4 hours of use
 
These costs would be in addition to any additional personnel costs required as outlined above.
