Sofiya Chudnovskiy
I'm Sofiya Chudnovskiy, currently teaching ART1, ART2, ART3, Materials and Design at Manchester Regional High School. I majored in Painting at Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. I have also worked in the field of industrial arts. I love teaching my students how looking at art and creating it can shift perspective. Fun fact about me: I practice kung fu, and compete in tournaments. I am fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian . I would like to share some of my passions with you during this school year. We will be using a variety of media and looking at various artists as well as implementing their techniques. I grade my students on participation as well as projects. There are some rules when it comes to attending class with me as your instructor.
- Safety: listen, follow instructions and think before you use it (anything in the room).
- Respect... everything: fellow classmates, the teacher, the facility, materials, equipment;
- Clean up messes: even if you did not make them! Be a community contributor - it is part of your grade.
- Follow directions, actively participate, and follow student expectations.
- Relax and enjoy
- Nothing is perfect…especially art.
