Sports & Entertainment Marketing

Course Description

This course introduces students to careers in marketing and business with an emphasis on the sports and entertainment industry.  The topics covered include marketing and business fundamentals, event marketing, promotions, customer relations, public images, community service, recreation marketing, job interviewing, advertising, legal contracts and much more.  In addition, the course work provides students with a fundamental knowledge of global marketing and allows them to apply critical thinking and decision-making skills to current industry case studies.  

Students have the option to be part of the DECA Marketing Club which is the co-curricular club that gives students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and enter competitive events on a district, state and national level.

Our Sports and Entertainment Marketing classes will be online using Google Classroom and Google for Education Apps.
