Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2029 and New Students,

MRHS has implemented a full one to one (1:1) Chromebook initiative since the 2018-2019 school year. This means

that every child has access to a state of the art Chromebook twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, at

school and at home during the school year and summer months.

We are currently preparing over two hundred Chromebooks for the Class of 2029 and our new students in grades

10-12. Chromebooks will be distributed to each student on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 between 9:00am and

12:15 pm in the MRHS Innovation Center (use Door 15 to enter the building near the Board of Education Office Entrance). Students must come to pick up the Chromebook with a parent/guardian during the following time windows:

Last names starting with letters A-I - 9:00am-10:15am

Last names starting with letters J-R- 10:15am-11:15am

Last names starting with letters S-Z- 11:15am-12:15pm

Your child will also receive their MRHS email and other account information during pick up. If you do not receive the main summer mailing by August 10th please call the Main Office immediately at 973-389-2821. Freshman

Orientation will take place on the same day, 08/27/25, from 12:30pm-3:30pm. We ask that all parents attend

Freshman Orientation, as well. Additional information about Freshman Orientation will be sent out in the

coming weeks. In the meantime, please be advised that all students must report to orientation in full uniform

with sneakers (https://myschooluniformstore.com/ password- gofalcons). Please be advised that MRHS no

longer allows any other shoes but sneakers with laces that are appropriate for participation in physical education to be worn to school as part of the uniform policy. Sneakers may be purchased from any vendor.

In order for your child to obtain her/his Chromebook for participation in the 1:1 program they must satisfy two

requirements. First, every MRHS student and their parent/guardian is required to view and acknowledge our

virtual, fifteen minute, 1:1 Family Training video that is now available on our website, www.mrhs.net. Each

student is also required to read the MRHS Student Mobile Device Handbook. Please use this link to access both- https://www.mrhs.net/apps/form/form.PASSAIC-D.s6h7nCm.1dM. Parents/guardians should also read and

review the handbook with their child. Electronic acknowledgement of the parent/student signature form is

required before a student can obtain their Chromebook on August 27th. Students will sign the form physically

when they report for device pick up. Second, participation in the 1:1 program requires an annual $20

usage/self-insure fee. This fee is paid each year of attendance at MRHS and will be used for repairs, maintenance, and replacement of devices. Please ensure $20 in cash is brought to the Chromebook pick up on August 27, 2025.

Finally, please be advised that your child’s school ID picture will also be taken when he/she comes to pick up the

Chromebook and the ID will be issued at that time. We look forward to seeing you on August 27, 2025! Please
