Seal of Biliteracy!

The New Jersey Seal of Biliteracy program was started to acknowledge and award bilingual and multilingual students.  By achieving the Seal of Biliteracy, students demonstrate that they are able to speak, read, comprehend, and write in two or more languages at a high level of proficiency.   Manchester Regional High School takes great pride in its diversity and heritage of its student body so we have decided to have students pursue the Seal during Junior and Senior year.  This year we had two juniors and six seniors qualify for the Seal through AAPPL language testing.  Four students qualified for Arabic and four students qualified in Spanish.  After this successful start we will now be looking to test twice as many students next school year to further increase the number of students who can achieve the Seal of Biliteracy.  This is an official credential from the State of New Jersey that students can put on their college and work resume.
