The football team opened the 2023 season with a victory over the Ferris Bulldogs in dominating fashion with a score of 39-6. The team was led by senior Xavier DeJesus (2 rec. 15 yards, 1 rec. Td, 3 tackles), junior Ashawn Johnson (98 yards passing, 2 tds, 86 yards rushing, 5 tackles) junior Welton Alexander (7 tackles), and sophomore Ty’ree Gunthrope (120 yards rushing, 2 rushing tds, 6 tackles, 2 int, 2 int tds).
