Manchester Sings!

General Chorus:

General Chorus is an entry-level mixed chorus for incoming freshmen and students with little to no musical experience. In this class, students learn the basics of score-reading and vocal technique through their study of 2 and 3-part choral literature in a range of styles including classical, folk, modern, and pop/rock.

Concert Choir:

Concert Choir is our advanced curricular mixed choir for sophomores-seniors who have excelled in General Chorus. Concert Choir tackles more difficult choral literature, and represents our school at community events during the Fall and Winter seasons. Concert Choir students will learn about vocal care and health, as well as proper vocal technique for a variety of musical styles through their study of 4 to 8-part choral literature ranging from Renaissance to Contemporary.

Bel Suono:

Bel Suono is an auditioned extracurricular choir of 16-24 members that meet on Tuesday evenings to rehearse more difficult and intricate literature than the two curricular choirs. Ensemble often sings a cappella, and travels to community events to provide music.

Show Choir:

New in the 2014-15 school year, Show Choir is an auditioned extracurricular choir of 8 members that sing and stage show tunes and choral arrangements of pop songs. Show choir members need a strong sense of pitch, a lot of dedication, and even more attitude!
