The 2024-2025 Passaic County Teacher of the Year (PCTOY), MRHS Teacher of Spanish Bernadette Orsita, was honored at the regular Board of County Commissioners meeting in Paterson on Tuesday, June 17th. In front of a packed audience that included MRHS BOE President Baez, Superintendent Coviello, and Haledon Council President Aymat, Ms. Orsita gave a riveting speech that included how and why she chose to devote her life to not just teaching but to helping others. The Passaic County Commissioners also offered their kind words in support of teachers everywhere and highlighted the many accomplishments of Senora Orsita including her schoolwide and ground breaking Multicultural Fair. This is the first time a Passaic County Teacher of the Year has been honored at one of these meetings and the PC Manchester Regional High School District, like PCTOY Orsita, is highly honored and humbled by this recognition. MRHS appreciates its teachers as well as its local and County leadership! Thank you for all that you do!
