About Mr. Sanchez:

I actually grew up in Prospect Park and attended both School #1 and MRHS. I was a successful student-athlete at MRHS where my grades and athletic ability led me to achieve a scholarship to William Paterson University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education in 2012. I wanted to become a teacher because I truly have a passion for making a difference in students' lives. I feel that teaching is one of the most fulfilling roles in life. This means helping to shape another person by instructing in subject areas and teaching manners and life-long values. It is a huge responsibility with many obstacles, and I am willing to take on the challenge the way so many teachers did for me when I was here. For both physical education and coaching soccer, I have a deep knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques for overall physical well-being and sport specific training. I also played soccer at the collegiate level and that experience increased my knowledge of the sport and exposed me to different team tactical strategies.

On my free time, I enjoy exercising whether it be at the gym or playing soccer or any sport for that matter. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends that I have had since high school. I was born in the U.S. and I am fluent in Spanish as I am a descendant of Costa Rican and El Salvadorian parents.
